"Across the Seas... British Quilts in the Colonies" by Margaret Mew "Across the Seas... British Quilts in the Colonies" by Margaret Mew

Thursday, Oct. 25th, 2018 7:30 PM LECTURE Light Refreshments/Desert will be served following the lecture, for attendees, along with some door prizes!

Margaret grew up in New Zealand and now lives in Australia, so it was only a matter of time before antique British quilts which now reside at the bottom of the world became her latest area of interest. Join Margaret for an evening lecture and slide show presentation, featuring many quilts she has viewed over the years. As well, Margaret will have a few of her beautiful reproduction quilts she has made, inspired by her love of antique British quilts.

Margaret is the author of Quilts from the Colonies (Quiltmania Publications 2017) which celebrates her passion for quilt history and 19th century reproduction quilts. Margaret enjoys sharing her vast fabric and quilt knowledge with her students and will inspire you to enjoy making quilts more slowly. She lives in a converted 19th century Railway Station in a small village in Central Victoria, Australia.

Our Price: $20.00
